The Meaning of Julia Child's Career Lessons to Me

1. Follow your passion- You have to go after and strive for what you want. If you discover something that you know in your heart you want to do, go after it. Don't listen to the people that hold you back. Only follow your dreams and only listen to the people that encourage you.

2. Accept that doing anything well requires hard work- Things don't just get handed to you. You have to put forth the effort, be determined, and work hard for your passion, dreams, and desires. In the end, knowing that all the hard work you did put in and apply to your passion just makes it that much more rewarding. A little hard work never killed anyone, it only improves character and the end product.

3. Know your worth- Everyone, and I mean everyone, has worth. Whether it's out in the open or barried somewhere inside, there is meaning to us all. You have to see, understand, and support that worth by doing what makes you happy and by pursuing what you want to pursue. Don't let anyone bring you down! You are an amazing person, we see it. Now just prove it to yourself, and others that don't, that you and only you bring meaning to life and your passion.
